Polymer clay earrings and beaded earrings are delicate items and do need to be taken care of in order to maintain their finishes. Please read the following tips to keep your earrings looking their best.
Store in a jewellery box, away from air and light. This prevents the metal parts from oxidising and the resin parts from yellowing due to UV exposure.
Keep away from water to protect the varnish and painted finishes.
Avoid contact with perfume, hair spray or other chemicals.
Clean metal parts with a polishing cloth to remove tarnish and restore lustre. Raw brass elements can be cleaned with a little lemon juice or vinegar on a cotton bud, and this will restore the brass shine.
Clean any make up residue with a little make up remover and cotton bud.
Please always wear your safety backs on the earrings, even on the hook wires, to keep them safely in your ears.
